Operate Two Amps With its built-in effects engine and external effects loop, the Waza Tube Amp Expander brings a wealth of sonic enhancements to your tube amp, particularly if it’s a vintage model with no effects loop. Onboard DSP delivers premium sound quality and true stereo operation with class-leading 32-bit AD/DA, 32-bit floating-point processing, and 96 kHz sampling rate. Compressor, delay, and reverb effects are on hand, with loads of customizable settings via dedicated editor software. Four different EQs are available for strategically shaping your tone at multiple points in the signal path, and it’s even possible to use one of the EQs as a switchable boost for solos. The external loop offers selectable series or parallel operation, plus support for both line-level devices and standard stompbox effects. Feed Stage Cabs, Mixers, Recording Devices, and Headphones—All at Once Operate 2 Amps -If you use two Katana MkII amps in your setup, FOOT CONTROL2 mode is for you. Connect one GA-FC EX via two cables toselect memories and effects on both amps, either together orindependently.

It won’t be replacing the GA-FC which still remains as the mainstay offering - but rather it will offer a lot more smarts and enhanced control abilities over and above the standard edition - for those amps its fully compatible with.

GA-FC EX adds an additional expression pedal input over the standard GA-FC, giving you three total. Set the MODE switch to EXP PEDAL 3 to activate this functionality. So why would I need three expression pedals, you might ask? Most Katana Amp users should be familiar with the Standard 6 footswitch GA-FC floor-based Foot Controller - which has been around since before the first Katana Amps were introduced in September of 2016. The idea was of course that you could switch between 4 Channels and Panel Mode and Two routes of Loops, Reverbs, Boost settings etc. The GA-FC EX can be used with following BOSS and Roland amplifiers that support the GA-FC Foot Controller, but only standard GA-FC control functions are available.The mode selector on the GA-FC EX opens up powerful control capabilities with supported Katana MkII models. The functionality is very impressive for such a simple looking pedal. You can access 8 presets (using the Katana 100) plus the current panel setting giving you a total of 9 different sounds instantly at your feet! And if that?s not enough, you can also turn on and off the individual stomp effects within each preset which makes this f.s extremely flexible indeed. For example while in any of the 8 presets you can see what effects you have assigned to that preset and turn them on and off just by tapping their individual switch. No need to move to another preset just to get rid off the delay, simply turn it off with a tap of its own switch. Refer to user guide for specifics!
