Dress up for our fancy dress competition!

Please come and show your support by visiting us and having a fun day out with the kids! Below are final details of the event and what is going to be here for you to get excited about! We will be hosting a fancy dress competition, so dress up as an animal and enter the competition for just £2! A fantastic prize is to be won which will be announced on the day! Dogs are welcome as long as you bring bags to pick up after them. There will be bins available to put the droppings away.

HEALTH AND SAFETY NOTICE!

Please note Jungle Fortress is on a farm, with parking areas in the fields, some of which are protected by barbed wire. We will be putting up signs and covering the wire where possible but please show caution. As Jungle Fortress is on a farm the fields and hard surfaces are uneven therefore may be hard to travel over with a wheel chair or pram. Baby changing facilities and disabled toilets will be available.

As we don’t know what the weather is going to be like just in case bring an umbrella, wellies and fingers crossed for sunshine! This is an outdoor event so wrap up warm!

If you do bring your dog remember to bring bags and pick up after them and that it has a good temperament around other animals.

Finally: PLEASE WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER TOUCHING THE ANIMALS! This is for your safety. Reminders will be put up around the farm and staff members will be actively encouraging you to wash your hands after any interaction with the animals.

24 April 2010 - Fund Raiser

Jungle Fortress Animal Sanctuary hosted its FIRST fundraiser.

The night included a raffle and an auction. The items for auction were professional animal photos taken in the wild. Also available for auction was an eligible bachelor & bachelorette! The buyer paid for the prevelage of taking the bachelor or bachelorette on a date! The bachelor was sold for £21.01 and the bachelorette was sold for £80! There was also a bar, finger food, and DJ Scratchcon played music to finish the night dancing!

The night was a real success and the animal sanctuary was able to raise £812.50 PROFIT!

Thank you so much to RootMaster who donated the food for the event, Dejan for playing the music for free, Rosie, Niall, Liz and Sylvia who were a great help in preparation and on the day of the event!
