Hoppy Easter From Jungle Fortress Animal Sanctuary!
18th April 2012

Dearest Supporters!

Thank you for those of you who came to our Easter Open Day! It was a terrific success with a bouncy castle, goat feeding, animal shows, and an easter bug hunt! Please remember to spread the word about us and the important work we do. Word of mouth is our biggest advertiser!

If you are thinking of booking a party this Easter we have a special offer for this month. Please see below for more details.

We have had a new comer a little Zebra Finch called Sebastien. She came to us because her owner had to go into care and needed a good permanent home. She lives happily with Fluffy the Lionhead Rabbit in a big outdoor enclosure!

Happy Easter Egg Hunting!

Happy Valentines From Jungle Fortress Animal Sanctuary!
15th March 2012

Dear Friends,

We work closely with Wildlife Aid giving them any British wildlife we get in and they give us any exotic animals they get in.
Recently we had a male fox brought in to us who had been hit by a car. He had severe head injuries and it wasn't looking hopeful for him, luckily he was picked up and brought straight to us. We then took him to Wildlife Aid, where they have veterinary facilities onsite. They looked him over and kept him in for 3 days and he was ready to be released! We took him back to the location where he was picked up and released him back into the woods!

On the Saturday 7th of April we will be having our second ever Easter Open Day at Jungle Fortress! Please spread the word and show your support by coming for a fun day out! There will be; pygmy goat feeding, face painting, animal shows, food & drinks, and a bouncy castle! It will be £10 per car entry fee, and you will also be able to see the animals in their enclosures!

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Lucie

Happy New Year From Jungle Fortress Animal Sanctuary!
26th January 2012

Dear Friends,

A new year has started and new comers have arrived! So far we have had two beautiful ducks called Gemima and Tilly, and Lily the Bearded Dragon!

Gemima and Tilly came to us as their owners were moving house and unfortunately couldn't take them along. But they are now living happily at Jungle Fortress with a lovely pond, and in the day they get let out into the Jungle Fortress garden!

Lily the Bearded Dragon came to us because her owner could no longer look after her anymore. She is now living with Gilbert another Bearded Dragon and Einstien the Hermans Tortoise!

This year also sees the launch for our new mini keeper club which will start in February! The children will get to learn about different animals, what the eat, and how to care for them. The club is full of interaction with animals, games and animals feeding! At the end of the 5 weeks each child will be awarded with a Mini Keeper Certificate! Click the link here to see more details!

Thats all for now! Check back soon to read about our next update!

Take care,

Lucie

Happy Halloween From Jungle Fortress Animal Sanctuary!
2nd November 2011

Dear Friends,

The animals at Jungle Fortress have been doing very well, we recently re-homed a little Hermans tortoise to a loving home. As he was being bullied and much smaller than his friend. He wasn't getting any food without supervision by his keepers. We thought he would be happier living on his own with a loving family, he is now living with Kevin the painter and his wife who have always wanted a little tortoise!
The other tortoise now lives with a Bearded Dragon who was found on a compost heap, we named him Gilbert! He is now healthy and happy and goes out to children's birthday parties!
The Chipmunks have now gone underground for the winter and we look forward to seeing them next February!

Thank you for your support, check in soon for another update!

Lucie :)
