| About Jungle Fortress Animal Sanctuary |
Introduction
The Jungle Fortress Animal Sanctuary is an sanctuary for all types of animals. Here we house and rehome exotic, endangered and unusual species, in addition to more traditional pets. As well as caring for the animals, we work with schools and other organisations through our outreach programs. We bring our friendlier and more tolerant animals into schools, to help teach young people how to care for the environment and the animals we share our planet with.
School Animal Workshops
We work to bring a bit of the natural world into the classroom through our school workshops. We encourage interest in plants and wildlife and most of all we make learning FUN! The workshops are linked to the national curriculum. The first hour is based around the animals themselves and interacting with them. The second hour of the animal workshop is based around crafts, getting active and team work.
Jungle Animal Parties
In addition to our education program, we organise childrens' parties. This includes a close encounter with some of the animals, party games, which prizes are provided and we even sort out goodie bags and party invitations! The parties are of the highest standard in every way, from the entertainment, to the quality of the goodie bags. We aim to create the best two hours of the year through a great animal party!
How Can You Help
Our aim is to work closely with schools, other animal sanctuaries and the general public, in order to minimise the problem many abused or ill treated exotic and domestic animals are faced with in the UK and abroad. There are many ways in which people can help us. You can give us your time as a volunteer, or old animal equipment, such as wood or old cages or vivariums. You can donate money to us through animal adoptions, buy our merchandise, or even by sponsoring one of our projects (if you click the title of this paragraph, you will be directed to our projects page)!
The biggest thing you could give us is volunteering to network, by fund raising or distributing leaflets to schools about our animal workshops and animal parties. Word of mouth is our biggest ad, so please tell your friends, family and everyone else you meet about Jungle Fortress Animal Sanctuary!
